The role is both rare and interesting in that it goes beyond being just about winning new business. The MD of the agency wants someone who can really help develop and manage the agency through the next phase of growth. Whilst not being an outright MD role, it will certainly require someone who can be a leader and inspire the rest of the team going forward. Business development experience is obviously fundamental but there is more to this role than that.
